Gold bracelets: Elegance worn around the wrist

The gold bracelets can be divided into three groups which are the following: bracelets, chain link or rigid bracelets or bangles.

The history of wearing bracelets just like other types of jewellery goes back to ancient times. In Egypt, artefacts were found form 5000 B.C., these bracelets were made of bone, bronze and wood. The Egyptian scarab motif which symbolizes reformation and rebirth can be found in every artefact. To go further back in the history of mankind a bracelet was found in the Siberian Mountains in a cave, researches determined it to be more than 40000 years.

Gold bracelets is one of the most popular type if jewellery among the ladies. As we mentioned earlier, there are three types of bracelets. Bracelets, like necklaces consist of little links, this type is the most comfortable to wear. Bracelets can be decorated with one or two ornaments which can even be adorned with gorgeous gemstones. Those bracelets which are made with chain links are like wrist bands. These usually consist of 1 to 3 cm parts, these parts are held together by needles securing the free movements between the parts. The third type of bracelet is the rigid bracelet; this can also be divided into two categories. One of them is the rigid bracelet that can be opened; the other one is closed and can be pulled on through the wrist. Those bracelets that can be opened pose the greatest goldsmith challenge. We need to create a completely unique hinged lock for the jewel. Choosing the correct size is the most important factor with this type of bracelet since it has to fit the wrist perfectly for it to be comfortable.
